Badrinath To Replace VVS Laxman In Test Series

Subramaniam Badrinath has been called by the Indian Team selectors to replace the legend VVS Laxman for the upcoming 2 Test series against the New Zealand.The decision was taken after when Laxman announced his retirement from International Cricket this Saturday at Hyderabad.



Badrinath plays for Tamil Nadu in the Ranji Trophy Tournament.He has played 2 Tests before this & has a half-century against his name.His last test was against South Africa when they toured India in 2010.

He is a consistent performer at the domestic level with an average over 60.74.He has also scored 28 Centuries with a high score of 250.He also plays for Chennai Superkings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League(IPL).He has hit  11 half-centuries for CSK with a high score of 71* & a good average of 32.92 & strike rate of 120.71.
